Frequently asked questions

What exactly is free forever?
Teams up to 3 engineers pay nothing. You get the whole product — templates, canvas, MCP server, all integrations, team dashboard, audit log, 60 runs per month (20 per engineer). You only start paying when you add a 4th engineer, and only then. No credit card to sign up, no trial timer.
What happens when I add a 4th engineer?
The team moves to the paid plan at $9 per seat per month — applied to every seat including the first three. A team of 4 is $36/mo. A team of 10 is $90/mo. All data, templates, and flow history is preserved. You can drop back below 4 seats and return to free at any time.
What is a run?
A run is one Run Task — one running instance of a workflow template, tied to one ticket. It moves through the 7 phases (Ingestion → Shipping) tracked end-to-end. Each Run Task consumes one run from your monthly pool.
Do unused monthly runs roll over?
Monthly included runs reset each cycle. Runs purchased through add-on packs roll over indefinitely — they never expire.
Does my source code go through your servers?
No. Your agent (Claude Code or Cursor) calls the LLM directly with your key. We only see workflow metadata — status, ticket id, branch names, PR URLs, counts. By construction, not by promise.
Which hosts and LLMs are supported?
RailRun runs above two MCP hosts — Claude Code and Cursor. Whatever LLM your agent uses through that host stays yours: BYOK, the call goes direct to your provider, and RailRun never sees the model or the key.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Drop below 4 seats and you're back on free, no cancellation step needed. On paid plans, cancel through the billing portal any time with no penalties. Annual plans retain access until the end of the billing period.
Is there a limit on team size?
No hard cap. Teams of 10+ are common. Above 20 we'll reach out for an enterprise conversation (SSO / SAML / custom SLAs / audit exports), but the $9/seat pricing holds.
